Recommended First Aid and Safeguarding certification
The Candidate Handbook now includes a recommendation that candidates obtain a First Aid and Safeguarding certification prior to taking up employment as a teacher. This change has been made to reflect the guidance for out of school settings published by the Department for Education in October 2020. Further guidance for Unit 1 legislation
The Candidate Handbook now includes further clarification and guidance around the legislation sections of Unit 1 for candidates, teachers and examiners.
A checklist for Unit 1 requirements is also included in the presentation for Unit 1 and to download.
